About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Conveyancer/Paralegal to join our in-house property team at Js Legal Recruitment Ltd.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and run your own case load of plot sales, including part-exchange acquisitions and releases.
  • Prepare individual plot documentation and part-exchange title reports.
  • Build relationships with purchasers' solicitors, the Group Legal Department, and regional operating companies.
  • Attend meetings with the sales team to review caseload.
  • Deal with post-completion matters such as SDLT returns and land registration where necessary.
  • Advise and assist on issues arising during plot sales and part-exchange transactions.
  • Deal with lease/transfer variations and reversion sales.
  • Deal with the recovery of retentions (non-litigious).

  • Carry out AML checks.
Requirements
  • Be an experienced and motivated Conveyancer, Fee Earner, or Paralegal with a sound knowledge of residential conveyancing, practice, and procedure.
  • Hold a qualification through the Institute of Legal Executives, Council of Licensed Conveyancers, or to at least degree level in law.
  • Have previous experience of handling plot sales for a residential house builder (either in-house or in private practice).
  • Be able to work with modern computer-based technology.
  • Be self-motivated, adaptable, have good team and communication skills.
  • Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
