Experienced Conveyancer Wanted for In-House Property Team

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Conveyancer to join our in-house property team at one of the UK's leading house-builders. As a Conveyancer, you will play a crucial role in managing and running your own case load of plot sales, including part-exchange acquisitions and releases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and run your own case load of plot sales, including part-exchange acquisitions and releases
  • Prepare individual plot documentation and part-exchange title reports
  • Build relationships with purchasers' solicitors, the Group Legal Department, and regional operating companies
  • Attend meetings with the sales team to review caseload
  • Deal with post-completion matters such as SDLT returns and land registration where necessary
  • Advise and assist on issues that arise during plot sales and part-exchange transactions
  • Deal with lease/transfer variations and reversion sales
  • Deal with the recovery of retentions (non-litigious)
  • Carry out AML checks
Requirements
  • Experience as a Conveyancer or Fee Earner with a sound knowledge of residential conveyancing, practice, and procedure
  • Qualification through the Institute of Legal Executives, Council of Licensed Conveyancers, or to at least degree level in law would be an advantage
  • Previous experience of handling plot sales for a residential house builder (either in-house or in private practice) would be a distinct advantage
  • Ability to work with modern computer-based technology
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, with good team and communication skills
  • Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
