Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Parent Support Advisor to join our team at Brackenberry Ltd. The successful candidate will work closely with a Local Authority in Enfield to provide support to families and children in need.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Family Support: Provide listening advice and guidance to families to develop and enhance parenting skills.
  • Programme Delivery: Deliver evidence-based parenting programmes to a defined client group.
  • Assessment and Referral: Complete assessments using the Early Help Framework and Signs of Safety model to make appropriate referrals to other services.
  • Lead Professional: Take on the role of the Lead Professional coordinating services in the Team Around the Family (TAF) and act as the single point of contact when required.
  • Support and Guidance: Support families who do not meet the thresholds that trigger the involvement of specialist services.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Significant experience of direct work with children, young people, and their families in the family home or in the community.
  • Partnership Working: Experience of working effectively in cooperation and partnership with a range of communities, partner agencies, private sector bodies, public agencies, voluntary bodies, and statutory agencies appropriate to the service area.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work assertively to achieve sustainable and positive change.
  • IT Skills: Proficient use of IT systems, including Outlook, MS Office, and electronic case management systems.

  • DBS: This role requires an enhanced DBS.
