We are partnering with a Local Authority in a collaborative effort to appoint a Senior Parent Support Advisor on a 3-month contract, with the possibility of extension at the client's discretion. Please submit your CV for immediate consideration.

Compensation: £22.71 per hour

Responsibilities:

  • To manage a complex caseload and provide key support to families referred for assistance, taking on the lead professional role to coordinate a multi-agency whole family approach to address difficulties.
  • To conduct thorough whole family assessments, ensuring a high standard of service to families, including securing the services of other agencies.
  • To regularly review action plans and coordinate activities to ensure agreed tasks are identified and goals are reached in a timely manner.
  • To ensure that the service is delivered at times that suit and meet the needs of the families, such as early mornings and late evenings.
  • To work in partnership with social workers to effectively step-down cases to the Early Help Service, thus reducing social care case loads.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • To have significant experience of direct work with children, young people, and their families in the family home or in the community.
  • Experience of working effectively in cooperation and partnership with a range of communities, partner agencies, private sector bodies, public agencies, voluntary bodies, and statutory agencies appropriate to the service area.
  • To work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team and in partnership with parents, professionals, and the voluntary sector to meet the needs of vulnerable children and families who have multiple and complex needs to achieve sustainable and positive change.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work assertively to achieve sustainable and positive change, including negotiation and problem-solving in a multi-disciplinary setting. Good written skills and the ability to carry out assessments, written reports, and evaluating outcomes. To keep accurate records, organize, plan, and coordinate work.
  • Ability to keep accurate records, organize, plan, and coordinate work, and proficient use of IT systems, such as Outlook, MS Office, and electronic case management systems.

  • This role requires an enhanced DBS.
