Job Summary:

The Director Medical Affairs Strategy Europe will develop a differentiated Medical Affairs strategy tailored to the biosimilars environment in Europe. This forward-looking role will leverage the company's broad and expanding portfolio of biosimilar products to create opportunities in Europe. The successful candidate will take Medical Affairs to the next level by developing innovative content and delivery strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Curate a solid understanding of healthcare systems and decision-making processes in Europe as they pertain to biosimilars.
  • Propose and develop projects and initiatives to leverage this understanding, including educational and research activities.
  • Develop and tailor a broad range of project proposals, including cost-neutral activities that highlight the merits of the biosimilar opportunity and the company's portfolio of products.
  • Draft and publish scientific manuscripts on topics related to the biosimilar environment in Europe.
  • Develop educational material and conduct educational sessions on topics pertinent to the biosimilar domain.
  • Collaborate with the European and Global Medical Affairs teams to create synergies and efficiencies in meeting the overarching Medical Affairs mandate.
Qualifications:
  • Relevant academic qualification in the life sciences, such as a Ph.D. or MD.
  • Noteworthy experience in scientific acumen, communicative skills, and strategic thinking, with a track record of delivering on entrusted activities.
  • Ability to critically appraise research in the clinical sciences field, including a relevant understanding of customary study methodology and statistical techniques.
  • Practical familiarity with the contemporary Medical Affairs environment, its practices, and governing legislation, with working knowledge of compliance requirements.
  • Solid understanding of the European healthcare environment and its stakeholders, including policy makers, advocacy groups, fundholders, and payors, and their respective interests and issues.
  • Command of the English language that allows nuanced conversations and reflected written communication, with professional fluency in at least one continental European language.
