Job Description: SEN Support Worker

Location: Primary School in Wokingham, Berkshire

Contract Type: Part-time/Full-time (dependent on candidate availability)

Salary Range: £26,500 - £36,000 per annum based on experience

About the Role

Dunbar Education is seeking a passionate SEN Support Worker to join our team and support a child with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a primary school setting.

  1. To provide tailored support to a pupil with SEN, developing strategies to meet their individual needs and promote engagement in learning.
  2. Collaborate with teaching staff and other professionals to implement and monitor the child's IEP, ensuring consistency and progress.
  3. Build a strong, supportive relationship with the pupil, fostering trust and encouraging independence.
  4. Work collaboratively with the class teacher and SENCO to plan and deliver effective interventions and activities.
Requirements

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced SEN Support Worker who can:

  • Work effectively with children with SEN, adapting their approach to meet individual needs.
  • Communicate effectively with teaching staff, parents, and other professionals.
  • Maintain confidentiality and discretion when dealing with sensitive information.
  • Prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive school environment.
