Safety and Environmental Manager

At NWH Group, we're seeking a dedicated Safety and Environmental Manager to lead our safety, health, and environmental efforts across our growing business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement safety and environmental policies, ensuring compliance with H&S SEPA & EA regulations.
  • Own incident reporting and investigations, using expertise to recommend improvements and eliminate future risks.
  • Present and act on safety statistics, influencing decision-making at monthly safety meetings.
  • Coordinate emergency drills across all sites, ensuring preparedness for unexpected situations.
  • Conduct site inspections and audits, guaranteeing maintenance of ISO 9001 and 14001 certifications.
  • Lead contractor and visitor inductions, ensuring a safety-first approach on-site.

Requirements:

  • Qualified to National Diploma for Occupational Health and Safety Management.
  • Experienced in health, safety, and environmental law, with a talent for conducting risk assessments.
  • Proactive and ready to take ownership of safety standards, incident investigations, and compliance processes.
  • Familiar with ISO standards (9001/14001) and confident leading audits.
  • Organised and driven, with strong communication skills and a focus on continuous improvement.
