Job Title: Maintenance Engineer/Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Engineer/Technician to join our team at McCormick & Company. As a key member of our Engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing plant by performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent equipment downtime and ensure optimal plant performance.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of equipment and machinery to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Troubleshoot and repair complex equipment and machinery using technical knowledge and problem-solving skills.
  • Collaborate with production teams to ensure timely start-up of plant and minimize downtime.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules to optimize equipment utilization and reduce waste.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of process improvements to enhance product quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with company quality, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Coordinate activities with outside contractors and vendors to ensure timely completion of projects.

Requirements:

  • Minimum NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Proven experience in a food or consumer products industry, with a strong track record of acquiring engineering skills and continuous learning.
  • Strong understanding of food handling safe practices and ability to implement them consistently.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Lotus Notes, and Excel Spreadsheets.
