About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team at a primary school in Ealing. As an HLTA, you will provide tailored support to students with severe SEN needs, including ASD, and work closely with teachers and the SENCO to meet each child's individual needs.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide one-on-one support and tailored interventions to help students with SEN thrive.
  2. Collaborate with class teachers to create inclusive lesson plans and deliver engaging activities that inspire confidence and progress in every child.
  3. Lead small group sessions and activities under the direction of the class teacher.
  4. Develop and implement engaging interventions to enhance learning.
  5. Assist in planning and delivering lessons in line with the school's inclusive approach.
Requirements
  • Prior experience as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) or in a similar role supporting students with severe SEN needs, particularly those with ASD.
  • A Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or equivalent. Additional training in SEN, particularly autism, is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with teachers, students, and parents.
  • A compassionate approach with the ability to build trusting relationships with students to help them overcome challenges.
  • Willingness to work collaboratively with teachers and support staff, contributing positively to the school's inclusive environment.
