Salary and Benefits

£50,000 - £60,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Freight Business Development Manager to cover the Northwest territory. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Creating and implementing an annual business plan to achieve sales targets
  • Developing new markets and products to increase profitable turnover through diversification of services
  • Implementing processes for prospect management and customer follow-up to maximize sales penetration, profitability, and customer loyalty
  • New business target: minimum x 3 salary, 8 appointments per week minimum
  • New Customer Transition: ensuring that all potential customers are handled in a manner conducive to maximizing company goals

You will possess excellent market knowledge in freight forwarding and good negotiation and closing skills.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience of selling multi modal freight forwarding services
  • Self-motivation and a proven track record in sales
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
