Job Title: Senior Co-production Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Co-production Officer to join our team at Essex County Council. As a key member of our Mental Health Services team, you will play a vital role in shaping and delivering our co-production approach, ensuring that the voices and experiences of service users are at the heart of our decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with service users, experts by experience, and their families and carers to develop and maintain co-production in the design, delivery, and evaluation of mental health services.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to develop a joint co-production approach, ensuring seamless integration across Essex County Council, EPUT, and ICBs.
  • Facilitate the development of locality networks, engaging with local social care and health commissioners, voluntary sector providers, and stakeholders to promote co-production and service user involvement.
  • Champion the voice of service users, using feedback and suggestions to inform Mental Health Commissioners and share key messages with stakeholders, commissioners, operational managers, and clinicians across Essex.
  • Develop, implement, and manage a co-production plan that aligns with our mental health commissioning programme, ensuring effective service user involvement and consultation.
  • Produce high-quality reports and presentations, utilizing excellent IT and computer skills to drive our co-production approach forward.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications, such as RFQ level 2 (GCSEs) or equivalent by experience.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development and a commitment to ongoing learning.
  • Advanced oral and written communication skills, with the ability to produce engaging reports and presentations.
  • Experience working in Adult Social Care services, with a strong understanding of the current national social care and health agenda in Mental Health.
  • Proven organizational skills, with the ability to set up and deliver small projects and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Excellent adaptable communication and influencing skills, with a personable and approachable demeanor.
