Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Functional Verification Architect to join our team at Elecnor Deimos. This is a challenging opportunity for a skilled professional to lead the verification of spacecraft guidance navigation and control systems.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the entire verification process, from requirements definition to test execution and validation. This includes developing detailed Test Requirement Specifications (TRS) for GNC subsystem tests, reviewing technical requirements alongside top-level test/Verification and Validation (V&V) plans, and ensuring that the test plan is implemented and followed.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead the verification of spacecraft GNC systems, including satellite formation flying, rendezvous, in-orbit servicing, and active debris removal
  • Develop TRS for GNC subsystem tests, aligning with ESA/European programs and industry standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of GNC systems
  • Maintain a strong understanding of system design principles and flight operations best practices

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • A recognized engineering degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, Electronic, or related fields (Physics, Maths)
  • At least 3 years of experience in avionics verifications campaigns, flight operations, and GNC solutions for space applications
  • Strong background in functional verification, with capacity to understand new concepts and apply them to engineering problems
  • Good capacity to define and enforce processes, understand context, and tailor plans

The estimated salary for this position is between €60,000 and €90,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
