Job Summary

TPS is seeking a highly skilled National Account Development Manager to play a pivotal role in strengthening our market position, enhancing customer engagement, and driving sales growth in the Midlands region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Market Analysis and Research:
    • Conduct in-depth market research to identify market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities.
    • Analyse sales data and customer feedback to identify opportunities for growth.
    • Share insights and findings with the team to inform strategic decisions.
  • Strategic Planning and Execution:
    • Collaborate with the Volkswagen head office team to develop and implement strategic plans for sales.
    • Monitor progress against targets and adjust strategies as needed to ensure success.
  • Training and Development:
    • Develop and deliver training sessions for Business Development Managers and other stakeholders to enhance product knowledge and sales techniques.
    • Provide ongoing support and guidance to Business Development Managers, ensuring they have the tools and information needed to succeed.
    • Stay up to date with industry trends, new products, and technologies to maintain expertise in the field.
  • Customer Support and Relationship Management:
    • Act as a customer support function, assisting customers with inquiries, providing technical support, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
    • Attend customer meetings, centre visits, and industry events to promote products and build relationships.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, and customer service to ensure alignment and consistency in messaging and strategy.
    • Communicate regularly with the Volkswagen head office team, sharing updates and insights.
Requirements:
  • An ability to effectively engage and communicate with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Managing activities to grow and develop business.
  • A practical level of business financial awareness to provide valued input, and insight, at an operational level and recognise areas of risk and opportunity.
  • Experience of managing national campaigns and activities.
  • Possess a high degree of IT literacy.
