Fair Ways, a leading children's services charity in the Solent region, is seeking an exceptional Maths Teacher to join its specialist Autism School at the Eastleigh Campus of Glade School. As a key member of our teaching team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality maths education to secondary age students with diverse learning needs.

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated and skilled maths teacher who can create engaging lesson plans, differentiate instruction effectively, and provide individualized support to students. Your expertise in curriculum development and implementation will help shape the maths program, ensuring it meets the unique needs of our students.

You will work closely with the Head of School and Deputy Head to develop and deliver the maths curriculum, incorporating best practices and research-based strategies. Your role will also involve participating in the implementation and delivery of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Personal Education Plans (PEPs), providing relevant data to monitor progress and set targets.

In addition to your teaching responsibilities, you will contribute to the safeguarding of students' wellbeing, adhering to statutory requirements, Fair Ways policies, and Government legislation. You must have a strong understanding of how early life experiences may impact behaviour and be willing to learn about this aspect of supporting students.

Requirements
  • Hold QTS / QTLS or equivalent teaching qualifications
  • Demonstrate experience working with children with Autism and associated needs or possess transferable skills from another sector
