Data Center Project/Program Manager Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Data Center Project/Program Manager to join our team at Iron Mountain Data Centers. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful planning and execution of our hyperscale data center projects, including managing complex, multi-million-dollar new construction projects and leading integrated teams across multiple sites.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Manage all aspects of project implementation, including requirement elicitation, contract approval, project scheduling, risk evaluation, and resource management.
  2. Oversight and delegation of project scopes and objectives, project planning documentation, communication, task resource availability management, change and risk management, and project performance tracking.
  3. Develop and oversee project schedules, monitor and update as the project progresses, and communicate externally to the customer and internally to the project team and executives.
  4. Streamline information flow between customers and the organization, escalate discussions as appropriate, and promote business needs of the customer.
  5. Lead cross-functional, globally distributed teams in the successful and on-time delivery of hyperscale customer installations.

Requirements:

  1. Proven experience running complex global programs and projects, leading across matrixed teams, and applying various methodologies and strategies.
  2. Familiarity with data center design and construction, data center facilities operations, and/or data center colocation services.
  3. Ability to build and lead integrated teams, develop strengths in pursuit of successful project outcomes, achieve broadly communicated objectives, and engage cross-functionally across multiple, complex teams.
  4. Proven problem-solving, escalation, and decision-making skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with all organizational levels, including globally dispersed teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. PMP and Scrum Master certifications desired; strong project management/process background required.
  2. 10+ years of experience with a variety of methodologies (i.e., Waterfall and Agile) and proficiency in common project planning tools such as MS Project.
  3. Bachelor's degree required; master's degree desirable or career/experience equivalent.
