About the Role:

As a Senior Biomedical Scientist, you will play a key part in maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety within our microbiology department. Your responsibilities will include supervising laboratory operations, conducting regular audits to ensure compliance with established protocols, and implementing corrective actions as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily activities in the laboratory, ensuring that all team members are aware of their roles and responsibilities
  • Conduct regular audits to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to maintain quality standards
  • Develop and maintain laboratory procedures, IQA programmes, and quality management systems to guarantee exceptional results
  • Provide training and support to staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth
  • Participate in clinical trials and research projects, contributing your expertise to drive innovation and excellence
  • Deputise for the Laboratory Manager and coordinate the Microbiology Audit Programme, taking charge when needed to ensure seamless operation

About You:

We are looking for an experienced and skilled Senior Biomedical Scientist who is passionate about delivering high-quality results and driving excellence in a fast-paced environment. A salary of approximately £65,000 - £80,000 per annum reflects the importance of this role, offering a competitive package that rewards dedication and expertise.
