Procurement Specialist

Caddy Group Limited is seeking an experienced Groundwork Buyer to contribute to the success of our business. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of materials and services for our groundwork projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Source and procure materials, plant, and subcontractor services for groundwork projects.
- Negotiate prices, terms, and contracts with suppliers and subcontractors to achieve the best value for the company.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and subcontractors.
- Ensure timely delivery of materials and services to meet project schedules.
- Monitor market trends and assess potential risks to procurement processes.
- Evaluate supplier performance and seek opportunities for cost savings and efficiencies.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier information.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure procurement aligns with project needs and budgets.
- Assist in resolving any supply chain issues that may arise during the project lifecycle.
- Proven experience as a Buyer, preferably within the groundworks, construction, or civil engineering sectors.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of procurement processes, supply chain management, and relevant legislation.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in using procurement software and Microsoft Office applications.
