About the Role:

GSL Education is seeking to employ several Teaching Assistants to work within SEN Schools, Alternative Provisions, and Secondary Schools.

Job Summary:

We are looking for enthusiastic and charismatic individuals to support pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis, who have been diagnosed with Autism and Moderate Learning Difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils with Autism and Moderate Learning Difficulties on a 1:1 and small group basis
  • Follow tailored interventions for pupils under your care
  • Offer general classroom support
  • Work closely with teachers and other support staff to ensure the best possible outcomes for pupils

Requirements:

  • At least 6 months of experience working as a Teaching Assistant or supporting adults with Autism
  • Special Needs (SEN) experience, with a range of additional needs including SEMH and severe learning difficulties desirable
  • Availability on a full-time basis, or part-time if you have set days available each week
  • Enthusiasm, charisma, and confidence in your approach to managing behaviour
  • Passion for supporting young people with additional needs
