Our client, a dynamic company in Poole, is seeking a talented Manufacturing Engineer to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness in their production processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Optimize production processes to improve efficiency and quality
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and refine manufacturing systems, processes, and equipment
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to meet the highest standards
  • Assist in cost reduction and introduce new processes and tooling
  • Train and guide operators on production techniques
  • Act as a liaison between manufacturing and other business functions
  • Prepare estimates and manage job-related costs
  • Build strong relationships with customers and stakeholders
  • Lead Root Cause Analysis
  • Actively contribute to Health and Safety initiatives
  • Identify and implement innovative manufacturing techniques
  • Plan and optimize workflow, space, and equipment and oversee equipment maintenance and repairs
  • Advise on Design for Manufacturing (DFM)

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar role, ideally with an assembly background
  • HNC/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience is desirable
  • Familiarity with modern manufacturing practices and processes
  • Knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma methodologies
  • Strong teamwork and communication abilities
  • Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Experience in system assembly manufacturing
  • Proficiency in CAD SolidWorks
