Agricultural Sales Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Area Sales Manager to join our team at Agricultural and Farming Jobs. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with existing and new customers to drive business growth and meet sales targets.
Key Responsibilities- Sell a wide range of agricultural and equine products to merchants and farmers, managing existing accounts and developing new business opportunities.
- Hit sales budgets by identifying new business opportunities with existing and new customers.
- Utilize CRM software for daily activities, project tracking, market, and customer information.
- Effectively communicate market findings and customer insights to management.
- Have a can-do, positive attitude, dealing with orders and sales enquiries.
- Assist in the compilation of sales reports, producing agendas for customer meetings and ensuring preparation for all customer-facing and online meetings.
- Ensure CRM is updated at the end of each day and plan customer meetings.
- Report sales progress via weekly/monthly/quarterly sales meetings.
- Assist with marketing campaigns to support brand awareness and business development.
- Attend sales meetings, conferences, trade exhibitions, and open days as required.
- Proven B2B field sales experience in a similar position within the agricultural and/or equine sector.
- A proven history of working to and achieving sales budgets/targets.
- Strong working knowledge of the farming, agriculture, and/or equine industries.
- Based in the North of England.
- A full clean driving license.
- Desirably have/commercial marketing and merchandising experience.
- Fluency in English, both verbal and written.
- Advanced negotiation and selling skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills.
- Well-developed IT (MS Platforms, CRM, ERP, etc) and administration skills.
- Time management and task prioritization skills.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with a strong ability to multitask.
- Customer-focused.
