About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Clinical Assessor to join our team at Maximus. As a Nurse Functional Assessor, you will play a vital role in conducting thorough assessments to determine the impact of a person's disability or health condition on their daily life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct telephone, video, or face-to-face assessments to gather information about a person's condition and its effects on their daily life.
  • Use your clinical expertise to produce a factual report to help the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) determine eligibility for benefits.
  • Work with a diverse range of customers, including those with mental health conditions, and handle challenging situations with empathy and professionalism.
  • Manage your caseload efficiently to deliver a high-quality service to customers.

Requirements

  • NMC registered nurse with 1 year's broad post-registration experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work towards individual and team targets in a supportive environment.
  • Comfortable working with a diverse range of conditions, including mental health.
