Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to join our team at Culina Logistics. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing and motivating a team of warehouse staff to ensure the efficient and effective operation of our distribution center.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Management: Manage and motivate a team of warehouse staff to achieve productivity and service level targets.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure the highest possible levels of health, safety, and hygiene are maintained in the warehouse, complying with legislative and quality requirements.
  • Communication: Deliver regular communication briefings to ensure all team members are aware of company and local issues, and provide opportunities for input and improvement.
  • Inventory Management: Manage the goods inwards area to ensure quick and damage-free receipt of goods, ensuring stock is available to meet customer orders.
  • Training and Development: Develop team members to maximize their contributions to the warehouse and implement succession planning.
  • Disciplinary and Grievance Procedures: Carry out disciplinary and grievance interviews and investigations in accordance with company procedures.
  • Sickness Absence and Attendance: Monitor and control sickness absence levels, conducting return-to-work interviews and enforcing company policies.
  • Time and Attendance: Monitor and control the time and attendance system to ensure accurate recording and reporting.
  • Overtime and Agency Workers: Ensure the appropriate levels of overtime and agency workers are used to efficiently and cost-effectively manage the shift.
  • Company Policies and Procedures: Enforce and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Training and Representation: Monitor and control training for teams, ensuring the correct level of health and safety representation on shift, including first aiders and fire marshals.
Requirements
  • Computer Literacy: Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to deliver accurate information and interact with colleagues at all levels.
  • Adaptability and Methodology: Adaptable and methodical approach to work, training, and working hours.
  • Reliability and Conscientiousness: Conscientious and reliable, with a strong work ethic.
  • Teamwork and Independence: Ability to work effectively as part of a team or independently, with a proactive approach and decision-making skills.
  • Accuracy and Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail, with a polite and professional telephone manner.
  • Previous Experience: Previous experience using Microsoft packages and a strong understanding of logistics and supply chain principles.
