About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Bids / Proposals Engineer to join our team at Leidos. As a key member of our Electrical Controls Engineering group, you will be responsible for preparing proposals for various projects, including Automotive Body Shop Automation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage proposals for Electrical Controls Engineering projects, ensuring accurate cost estimation and technical feasibility.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Applications and Strategic Procurement, to gather requirements and develop comprehensive proposals.
  • Conduct cost-based research and analysis to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Manage the bid process from receipt of RFQ to submission, ensuring compliance with internal Leidos processes and gateways.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including internal departments and external partners.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in Electrical Controls Engineering, with a strong background in proposal development and cost estimation.
  • Commercial acumen and ability to analyze complex data to inform business decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong technical literacy and ability to read CAD drawings.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing automation methods and processes, with a focus on Electrical Controls Engineering.
