Health and Safety Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Specialist to join our team at Walkerwatts. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees, contractors, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Safety Management: Implement and maintain safety management systems to ensure a safe working environment.
- Incident Investigation: Investigate incidents and accidents, identifying root causes and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
- Health Management: Develop and implement health management programs to promote employee wellbeing and prevent occupational illnesses.
- Quality Management: Implement and maintain quality management systems to ensure compliance with relevant standards and customer requirements.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements and standards.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to integrate SHEQ considerations into business processes.
- Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of safety, health, environmental, and quality activities.
- Qualifications: NEBOSH General Certificate or NVQ level 3 equivalent with at least 3 years' experience, NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent with at least 1-year experience.
- Experience: Knowledge and experience of working on electricity distribution networks and/or another health and safety specialist subject.
- Skills: Excellent communication, presentation, and decision-making skills, computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office.
