Strategic Land Acquisition Specialist

Caralex Recruitment Limited is partnering with a national plc housebuilder to fill a Strategic Land Manager position covering Somerset, Gloucestershire, and Wiltshire. The role involves identifying, appraising, and purchasing strategic greenfield land, either outright or under option. The goal is to work on the land over the next few years to obtain planning and hand it over to an operating region.
Key Responsibilities
As a Strategic Land Manager, you will be responsible for land identification, purchase, and optimization into a viable housing development site. You will also need to gain planning permission. This role requires strong networking skills to build and maintain land industry contacts, as well as the ability to work professionally with external consultants and internal team members.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have experience in strategic land purchases as a Land Manager or Town Planner. You should understand local plans and be able to negotiate with land owners and their agents. This is a broad role that requires a strong understanding of the land industry and the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders.
