About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mental Health Practitioner to join our CAMHS team in Oldham. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assessing and formulating treatment plans for young people, working closely with a multi-disciplinary team to provide high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments of young people, identifying their needs and developing effective treatment plans.
  • Work collaboratively with a range of professionals, including nurses, psychologists, social workers, and psychiatrists, to provide holistic care.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with young people, their families, and carers, ensuring they feel supported and empowered throughout the treatment process.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research, policies, and best practices in mental health, applying this knowledge to inform your practice and improve outcomes.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of service-wide initiatives, promoting excellence in care and service delivery.
Requirements
  • Registered mental health professional with a relevant qualification (e.g., nursing, social work, OT) and active registration with the relevant regulatory body.
  • Significant post-qualification experience in community mental health services, with a focus on working with young people.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work autonomously, prioritizing tasks and managing a caseload effectively.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and respond to changing needs.
