About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at Semester.co.uk. As an Approved Mental Health Professional, you will play a critical role in providing a high-quality, integrated, and effective service to individuals experiencing mental health crises.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out statutory assessments under the Mental Health Act (MHA, 1983) and related statutory responsibilities.
  • Provide specialized advice to colleagues, managers, and partner agencies on mental health issues and the application of mental health law.
  • Participate in the Doncaster area Out of Hours 17:00-08:30 (Mon-Fri) AMHP/Adult Making Safe back-up rota.
  • Lead and implement clinical practice guidelines, standards, and protocols to ensure the highest quality service user experience.
  • Maintain and collate accurate clinical records on both paper and on the Trust and/or Local Authority computerized system.
  • Prepare and present written and verbal reports to the First Tier Tribunal and Hospital Managers hearings and application to Magistrate Court.
Requirements
  • A professional qualification in social work.
  • Social Work England registration.
  • Enhanced DBS/Update service.
