Job Summary

This is a hybrid role that requires 2 days of remote work and 3 days in the Malvern, PA office. The Director, Project and Program Management is a key member of the IT Leadership Team and plays a critical role in the IT function. They oversee a team of high-performing Project and Program Managers who are responsible for owning relationships with business stakeholders, driving technology projects forward, ensuring system alignment with business strategy, and supporting stakeholders from a technology standpoint.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain project and program management standards to ensure quality of work while supporting CubeSmart's agile culture.
  • Lead a team of Project and Program Managers responsible for intake, prioritization, execution, documentation, and delivery.
  • Help define and implement Project and Program Management processes that standardize technology initiative execution.
  • Provide formal updates to senior leadership on project and initiative status.
  • Demonstrate full ownership and accountability of programs and projects, and hold others accountable.
  • Foster an environment where teammates across the IT Department feel empowered, engaged, and excited to drive business value.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree with specialization in technology or business.
  • 10+ years of Director-level experience, leading a Program Management Office (PMO) or equivalent.
  • Proven track record of implementing key project/program management processes and managing organizational change.
  • 5+ years of direct people management/leadership experience, including developing and leading high performers.
  • Deep understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and agile environments.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of retail point-of-sale (POS), customer-facing digital systems, and web/cloud technologies.
  • Ability to bring together stakeholders with varying visions and priorities, and broker acceptable compromises.
  • Professional Project Manager (PMP) Certification.
  • Familiarity with a broad range of IT applications, data, and infrastructure, especially web/cloud technologies.
  • Familiarity with corporate financial platforms and basic general ledger accounting principles.
  • Experience working effectively with external vendors and customers, and with onshore, nearshore, and offshore resources.
