Director of Ethics and Compliance Investigations

The Director of Ethics & Compliance Investigations will manage the investigations team and take a leadership role in the continuous development and improvement of Balfour Beatty Communities' Ethics & Compliance investigations program.

This role is integral to the organization and serves as a key member of the Company's Ethics & Compliance team. The position will work with the Ethics & Compliance team, HR, Legal, Internal Audit, and outside counsel to implement and execute an effective investigations program.

The Director of Ethics & Compliance Investigations will be responsible for:

  • Prioritizing, classifying, and assigning investigations, including type, severity, and material risk to Balfour Beatty
  • Managing third-party vendors and liaising with law enforcement as needed to support investigations
  • Establishing investigation-related operating policies and procedures based on best practices and assisting with trainings on these policies and procedures
  • Working with the Ethics & Compliance team and Company leadership to interpret organizational policies and to implement remediation following an investigation

We are looking for a candidate with a BA/BS degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field and/or JD. Knowledge of and experience with issues related to government contracting and investigating complex compliance matters, including fraud and financial crimes, is preferred.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 12 years of investigative experience and 5 years in a manager/supervisory role.
