Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled Clinical Pharmacist to work in Kirkwall, Orkney on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will have a strong background in medicines management and experience working with multidisciplinary teams.
Main Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the pharmacy technical team to undertake medicines reconciliation on admission and assessment of patients' own medication.
- Work within the Medicines Management Policy and procedures to ensure safe and cost-effective medicines use.
- Discuss prescribed medicines with medical staff to ensure patients receive safe, effective, and appropriate treatment.
- Monitor patients' biochemistry and haematology results.
- Liaise with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure effective continuity of pharmaceutical care.
Requirements:
- Undergraduate Master's Degree in Pharmacy.
- Pre-registration training and successful examination.
- Pharmacist registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
- 1 or more years post-registration experience in hospital or community pharmacy.
- Detailed knowledge and understanding of pharmacy legislation.
