We are seeking an experienced educator to join our team as a Lecturer in Health and Social Care. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering high-quality teaching materials for undergraduate students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teaching and Curriculum Development:
    • Deliver engaging lectures and seminars across core modules in Health and Social Care.
    • Develop and revise curriculum materials to ensure alignment with industry standards and regulatory guidelines.
    • Implement varied teaching techniques to address diverse student needs and improve learning outcomes.
  • Student Assessment and Support:
    • Supervise student projects, internships, and field placements.
    • Develop fair and transparent assessment methods to support student development.
    • Provide personal tutoring and connect students to additional resources as needed.
  • Research and Scholarship:
    • Contribute to the field of Healthcare through scholarly activities.
    • Collaborate with colleagues on research projects and publish findings that impact teaching and practice.
    • Pursue funding for research initiatives and support knowledge exchange activities.
  • Networking and Partnerships:
    • Establish and maintain links with healthcare providers for student placements, research, and community projects.
    • Represent the institution in conferences and networks relevant to Healthcare education and research.
  • Administrative and Quality Assurance:
    • Handle academic duties such as student admissions, timetabling, and assessment records.
    • Ensure compliance with quality assurance guidelines and contribute to program reviews and accreditation processes.
Person Specification:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Master's degree in Healthcare or a related discipline; a PhD is preferred.
  • A teaching qualification or willingness to pursue one; a PGCert in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education is desirable.
  • Demonstrable experience in teaching or training in Healthcare at the higher education level.
  • Practical experience within the healthcare sectors is preferred.
  • Evidence of research engagement and publication is advantageous.
What We Offer:

Salary: £54,000 - £74,000 per annum, depending on experience
