About the Job
As a Reliability Maintenance Engineering Technician at ENGINEERINGUK, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and facilities. Your primary responsibility will be to perform proactive and preventative maintenance tasks on a wide range of site equipment, ensuring that our machinery runs safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out regular maintenance checks on equipment to identify potential issues before they become major problems
- Perform repairs and fault diagnosis on site, using your technical expertise to resolve issues quickly and effectively
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement maintenance schedules, ensuring that our equipment is always in good working order
- Support the development and progression of on-site apprentices, sharing your knowledge and expertise to help them grow in their roles
- Contribute to continuous improvement projects, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance our maintenance processes
A Day in the Life
As a Reliability Maintenance Engineering Technician, you will work closely with our senior colleagues to undertake day-to-day maintenance tasks, including painting and plumbing. You will also liaise with contractors when necessary, ensuring that our equipment is always in good working order. Your work will involve a range of shifts, including early and late hours, to ensure that our sites are supported around the clock.
About the Team
Our Reliability Maintenance Engineering team is dedicated to ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and facilities. We work together to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment across our global network of fulfilment centres, from installing automated packaging systems to overseeing the general maintenance of a site. We are a collaborative and dynamic team, always looking for ways to improve our processes and enhance our maintenance capabilities.
Requirements
- Served a full Engineering indentured apprenticeship and/or qualified to a minimum of NVQ level 3 or equivalent in a relevant Engineering subject (City & Guilds Level 3, SVQ/IVQ)
- Relevant experience as a qualified engineer, preferably in a maintenance or engineering role
- Advanced proficiency in the local language verbally and in writing
Preferred Qualifications
- Apprentice Trained, HNC, HND, BSc, BEng
- Experience in condition-based monitoring
- Experience working with print and apply machines
- Experience in fault-finding and maintaining conveyor or automation systems
