About the Job
We are seeking a skilled Reliability and Maintenance Engineering Technician to join our team at ENGINEERINGUK. As a key member of our RME team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our equipment and systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform proactive and preventative maintenance tasks on a wide range of site equipment to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
- Carry out reactive repairs and fault diagnosis in a live distribution warehouse, using your technical expertise to resolve issues efficiently.
- Utilize the latest tools and technologies to maximize equipment effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
- Adhere to all health and safety policies and practices, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
- Support the development and progression of on-site apprentices, sharing your knowledge and expertise to help them grow in their roles.
- Contribute to continuous improvement projects, implementing best practices and rolling out new procedures across multiple EU sites.
A Day in the Life
As a Reliability and Maintenance Engineering Technician, you will work on-site, responding quickly to any machinery issues that arise. You will carry out a range of planned preventative maintenance tasks to ensure our equipment is working safely and efficiently. You will also have the opportunity to suggest long-term improvements and work closely with senior colleagues to undertake day-to-day maintenance tasks.
About the Team
Our Reliability Maintenance Engineering team is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment across our global network of fulfillment centers. We work together to ensure our equipment is performing at its best, from installing automated packaging systems to overseeing general maintenance and repairing key distribution equipment.
Requirements
- Served a full Engineering indentured apprenticeship and/or qualified to a minimum of NVQ level 3 or equivalent in a relevant Engineering subject.
- Relevant experience as a qualified engineer, with a strong background in mechanical and/or electrical maintenance.
- Advanced proficiency in the local language verbally and in writing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Apprentice Trained, HNC, HND, BSc, BEng.
- Experience in condition-based monitoring.
- Experience working with print and apply machines.
- Experience in fault-finding and maintaining conveyor or automation systems.
