Role Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Organiser to join our team in the East Midlands region. As a key member of our organising team, you will play a crucial role in supporting and developing members and activists, increasing membership density, building participation, unity and power to win.

About the National Education Union

The National Education Union is a trade union that represents teachers, lecturers, support staff and leaders working in maintained and independent schools and colleges across the UK. We are committed to improving education and promoting social justice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing multiple organising projects and working well in a team to deliver key strategic industrial campaigns and projects in your region.
  • Developing and implementing effective organising strategies to increase membership density and build participation, unity and power to win.
  • Working directly with members and activists to develop confident workplace representatives and strong workplace groups.
  • Leading and championing good organising practice across the union, regionally and nationally.

Requirements

  • Experience of managing multiple projects and working well in a team.
  • Ability to prioritise, work under pressure and use own initiative.
  • Good organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
