Sales and Commercial Development Representative

Job Title: Sales and Commercial Development RepresentativeThis role involves building relationships both internally and externally, developing commercial skills, and generating revenue. You will be responsible for prospecting new leads, qualifying and closing quotations for orders, and managing accounts in select geographic territories.
You will work closely with the EMEA sales team, based at our office in Cambridge (UK), and travel to customers and internal and external meetings as necessary.
Responsibilities:- Finding, developing, and closing sales opportunities to achieve or exceed the territory sales plan.
- Providing technical expertise and insight to discover and close new leads and opportunities.
- Working closely with internal stakeholders to understand and position relevant products for customers.
- Developing and implementing a proactive strategy for prospecting new business, including researching accounts, lead qualification, and customer outreach.
- Using the Sales Cloud CRM system to manage leads, opportunities, and provide insight into accounts.
- Collaborating cross-functionally with ePro, Channel Management, and Sales, Marketing & Service to facilitate the preferred customer buying journey.
- Traveling up to 20% domestically and internationally for face-to-face meetings, conferences, and sales meetings.
- A BSc in a life science discipline or equivalent experience.
- The ability to engage customers and potential customers quickly, both virtually and face-to-face.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Fluency in English and German.
- Commercial experience or evidence of a commercial mindset, preferably within the life science reagents market.
