Job Summary: Permanent Futures is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to oversee the quality management system and drive standards up further. The ideal candidate will have confidence, audit experience, and a desire to be hands-on and thorough knowledge of ISO9001.

About the Role: As a Quality Assurance Manager, you will work in conjunction with other production and operations teams, utilizing two direct quality technician reports. You will make suggestions for future quality procedure improvements and manage the quality system on a day-to-day basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead Quality Management System: Oversee the quality management system, ensuring compliance with ISO9001 standards.
  2. Quality Procedure Improvements: Identify areas for improvement and suggest changes to drive standards up further.
  3. Hands-on Quality Management: Work on a day-to-day basis, managing the quality system and ensuring its effective implementation.
  4. Communication and Training: Communicate effectively with shop-floor staff and report to the board as needed.
  5. Travel and Compliance: Occasional travel to suppliers may be required, and a passport and driving license are necessary.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  1. Qualification: HND or degree level with a minimum of five years' experience in a quality role.
  2. Audit Experience: Previous experience as the lead contact for an external audit from a customer or external assessment body such as BSI.
  3. Communication Skills: Good communication skills, comfortable training shop-floor staff and reporting to the board.
  4. Travel Requirements: Occasional travel to suppliers may be required.
