Job Title: Quality Assurance Specialist

Wakefield Council is seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Integrated Quality Team, you will play a crucial role in promoting quality improvement in the independent sector and in-house care providers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the NHS and other partners to integrate quality assurance across services in the Wakefield District.
  • Support the Senior Quality Assurance Lead in developing and implementing quality assurance frameworks, standards, and systems.
  • Engage with care and support providers to secure high-quality services by influencing standards of care and good practice.
  • Provide advice and expertise on quality improvement to commissioners and providers.
  • Develop effective relationships with independent sector providers and representative groups to deliver targeted service and quality improvement support.
  • Support quality and performance management across adult services to ensure compliance with agreed partnership and organisational outcomes.
  • Lead on the robust analysis of quality of services and prepare accurate reports, benchmark, and undertake peer reviews.
  • Lead on a programme of projects, research, service reviews, audits, and evaluations to support quality and performance improvement.
Requirements:
  • Educated to Degree level in an appropriate subject or Gain NVQ level 4 (or equivalent) within 2 years.
  • Understanding of current policy and law relating to Adult Social Care.
  • Experience of working within a performance, information, commissioning, or quality assurance role.
  • Experience of leading on and undertaking projects.
  • Experience of inter-agency partnership.
