About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to join our award-winning team as a Kitchen Assistant, where you will play a vital role in supporting the catering function and maintaining a clean environment for the safe production of beverages and meals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand and apply principles of safe food handling to maintain high standards of hygiene.
- Work collaboratively with the team to achieve common goals and respond promptly to colleagues and work instructions.
- Provide advice on supply and quality of items used to carry out tasks and contribute to timely ordering of replacement goods.
- Maintain a respectful and professional attitude towards residents and their visitors, respecting their dignity and individuality.
Requirements:
- Possess a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate and demonstrate a strong commitment to personal hygiene.
- Have a solid understanding of Health and Safety, including Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety, and COSHH assessments.
- Be a highly motivated and efficient worker, capable of sustained physical effort and responding to demanding workloads.
- Demonstrate a proactive approach to team working and flexibility in your work.
- Exhibit a genuine care and understanding for the well-being of residents.
Compensation Package: The estimated salary for this role is £19,500 - £21,500 per annum, depending on experience.
