Trauma-Informed Support Worker

At The Nelson Trust, we take a holistic approach to supporting women affected by substance misuse and other forms of trauma. Our Woman's Justice Advocate role is designed to empower women to make positive changes in their lives, breaking the cycle of re-offending and promoting sustainable recovery.
Key Responsibilities- To work intensively with women in the Criminal Justice System, building trusting relationships and empowering them to access vital services and opportunities.
- To collaborate with other agencies to ensure a strong wrap-around support system for each woman, focusing on substance misuse treatment and long-term recovery.
- To drive positive outcomes for our clients, using dynamic and creative solutions to complex challenges.
- A proven track record of engaging with vulnerable individuals, particularly those affected by substance misuse and trauma.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with women from diverse backgrounds.
- Flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to work outside regular hours as required.
- A competitive salary of £23,000 - £24,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
- Access to a comprehensive pension scheme, including a 6% employer contribution.
- 25 days annual leave, plus statutory holidays.
