We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Director to join our team at LSH Auto, based in Birmingham. This is a key role that will play a pivotal part in driving the success of our organization by providing strategic and operational HR leadership.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in handling employee relations, advising on complex cases, and implementing HR policies. They will be responsible for developing and maintaining effective relationships with operational stakeholders, identifying HR challenges and opportunities for improvement, and contributing to cultural enhancement initiatives.

This is a dynamic role that requires a strong understanding of UK employment law and HR best practices. The ideal candidate will have a CIPD Level 5 qualification and at least three years' experience in an HR advisory or managerial role. They will also possess excellent coaching and development skills, with the ability to translate business needs into HR solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Employee Relations Management:
  • Act as the main point of contact for all employee relations matters, including handling complex disciplinary cases, performance management issues, grievance, and attendance management.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to people leaders on managing employee relations in compliance with company policy.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with operational stakeholders to understand business needs and align HR strategies with business goals.
  • Collaborate with managers to identify HR challenges and opportunities for improvement.
  • Leadership Coaching and Development:
  • Coach and mentor people leaders, providing them with the tools and skills to effectively manage their teams.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to enhance leadership capabilities and employee engagement.
  • Policies and Procedures:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance and consistency.
  • Regularly review and update policies to reflect changes in employment law and best practices.
  • Cultural Enhancement:
  • Lead initiatives to foster a positive workplace culture that aligns with company values and promotes inclusivity and diversity.
  • Identify and drive actions to improve employee engagement and satisfaction.
  • Talent Management:
  • Support the wider team with the development and execution of workforce strategies that meet current and future business needs.
  • Contribute to talent management efforts, including succession planning and career development initiatives.

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in an HR advisory or managerial role.
  • CIPD Level 5 qualification.
  • Proven expertise in handling employee relations and advising on complex cases.
  • Strong understanding of UK employment law and HR best practices.
  • Experience in coaching and developing leaders at various levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement HR policies and contribute to culture-building initiatives.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business needs into HR solutions.

Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of £45,000 - £55,000 (dependent on experience) plus a range of benefits, including a Platinum Plus Rewards Scheme, Colleague Car Purchase Scheme, Eye care Vouchers, Life Assurance, 31 days holiday (including bank holidays), rising to 38 days with length of service, Wellbeing Support, and Company Pension.
