Steel Fixing Professionals Wanted

We are seeking experienced Steel Fixers to join our team at Work Matters Ltd. The successful candidates will work on bespoke precast concrete projects, ensuring strong, durable, and exact specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and construction plans to determine steel reinforcement requirements.
- Cut, bend, and fix steel bars, mesh, and steel frameworks into position inside formwork for precast concrete.
- Secure reinforcement bars and mesh with correct spacing and alignment to ensure structural integrity.
- Work closely with the shuttering joiners and production team to ensure timely and accurate completion of projects.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company quality control measures.
- Inspect and maintain steel fixing equipment and tools to ensure they are in proper working condition.
Estimated Salary: £38,000 - £45,000 per annum depending on experience.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Steel Fixer, preferably within the precast concrete industry.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and reinforcement schedules.
- Excellent knowledge of steel reinforcement techniques and materials.
- Skilled in the use of hand and power tools relevant to steel fixing.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Good understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to steel fixing work.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
