Charles River Community Health seeks a dedicated Physician Assistant to join our team in providing high-quality primary care services to our patients. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion, and experience working with diverse cultures.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, counseling, and teaching to the primary care population in the ambulatory setting.
- Order medications and write prescriptions according to organizational and regulatory policies and procedures.
- Consistently follow through on high-quality and timely documentation.
- May perform procedures as agreed upon with the Medical Director.
- Practice cost-effective medicine efficiently, maximizing available resources.
Organizational Citizenship
- Participate in community outreach projects and Center meetings as requested.
- Participate in Quality Assurance activities as directed.
- Maintain a learning mindset with active involvement in individual continuing education and participation in all required organizational or clinical training.
- Perform other related duties as required by the Medical Director.
Requirements
- Completion of a graduate-level (Master's degree) Physician Assistant program accredited by the Accreditation and Review Committee for Physician Assistants (ARC-PA), which qualifies the candidate to take the NCCPA certifying exam, required.
- Must be willing to work one evening (until 7pm) weekly; occasional Saturdays may be required to cover CRCH staffing needs.
- Call as required by the Medical Director.
- Must be able to travel between Brighton/Waltham sites as needed.
- Bilingual/Bicultural preferred, fluency in English required.
- Must have experience in diverse cultures, with a strong commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion and reducing inequities.
- Must have excellent communication skills, particularly with people from diverse cultures, with the ability to understand the community, population, and patients we serve.
