About the Role:

We are seeking a qualified teacher to join our team at a special educational needs (SEN) school in Andover, Hampshire. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting primary school students with Moderate Learning difficulties (MLD).

Job Description:

The ideal candidate will have experience working with students who require extra support beyond mainstream schools. As a teacher at this school, you will become part of a highly supportive team with exceptional senior leadership and fantastic resources.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Deliver lessons tailored to meet the needs of students with a range of learning difficulties and complex needs.
  • Support students in developing confidence and independence.
  • Collaborate with specialist teaching services, medical staff, counsellors, and psychologists to provide comprehensive care.
  • Maintain awareness of safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure student safety and well-being.
  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent overseas qualification awaiting QTS recognition.
  • Possess a valid and up-to-date DBS clearance.
  • Bring experience as a teacher in a UK school setting.
