As an Associate Practitioner, you will collaborate with Biomedical Scientists and other colleagues to provide a diagnostic service.

Participation in the rota is compulsory, including weekend, bank holiday, early, and late shifts.

Main duties of the job

You will primarily be involved in the day-to-day running of the slide scanners and ensuring the quality and efficiency of the scanning is maintained.

You will be responsible for the daily maintenance of the scanners and ensuring that the outputs are of high quality.

You will check that the correct sample type has been received, correct sample labelling, and suitability for diagnostic investigations, in accordance with Pathology laboratory policies and standard operating procedures.

You will input data on the laboratory computer system and troubleshoot issues that may arise.

This part-time post involves a 22hr working week, including weekends and Bank/Public holidays.
