About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and forward-thinking individual to lead our dynamic Home First Planned Care Team.

As Operational Lead, you will be responsible for the strategic direction and operational delivery of Home First Planned Care, which comprises various services, including Early Stroke Rehab Team, Home First Therapies, Neuro Clinical Specialist Team, and more.

You will ensure the effective implementation of clinical and financial management strategies, working closely with senior management teams and partners to design, implement, and deliver therapy pathways for patients in Milton Keynes.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of service management and leadership experience in health or social care services at middle management or above. They will also possess HCPC registration as an Allied Health Professional, a Master's degree or equivalent experience, and evidence of ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD).

As part of this role, you will participate in strategic planning, contribute to new service development, and assume responsibility for delegated areas of lead responsibility within the Service Line and/or Directorate.

Key Responsibilities
  • To lead and line manage staff teams, providing compassionate and patient-centred care.
  • To develop and implement a leadership structure that enables decision-making close to the point of care delivery.
  • To ensure individual staff performance, appraisal, and development are robustly undertaken, and all staff have access to continuing professional education and development opportunities.
  • To chair panels and identify new business opportunities within the Service Line, taking a key role in developing tenders for new business.
