Waking Night Care Worker - Children's Solo Home
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate care worker to provide bespoke support for vulnerable children and young people in the Northeast of England.
As an OFSTED-rated 'Good' service provider, we prioritize safeguarding the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff to share this commitment.
The successful candidate will promote the social, emotional, and behavioral development of young people in a safe and caring environment, acting as a positive role model and working closely with them to overcome barriers and achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities- Support the child/young person with evening activities, personal care routines, medication, food preparation, and other tasks.
- Maintain the child's health, personal, emotional well-being, and safety throughout the night.
- Keep accurate and thorough records.
- Complete household chores during the night.
- Support day staff with preparations throughout the night.
- Provide thorough handovers.
- Report any concerns regarding changes in a child/young person's health, behavior, or safeguarding issues.
- Strong understanding and experience in record-keeping.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Able to take direction.
- Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care (children) or equivalent, with a goal of completing a Level 4 Diploma in Children and Young People.
- 12 months of experience working in a children's residential setting.
- UK Driving License and access to a personal vehicle.
