Senior Pharmacy Assistant Technical Services Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Pharmacy Assistant to join our Technical Services team at East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy services.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain accurate stock levels of medicines and consumables, ensuring efficient inventory management and minimizing waste.
- Process and dispose of medicinal waste, adhering to strict safety protocols and regulations.
- Perform In Process Checks for Aseptically prepared products, guaranteeing quality and safety standards.
- Support the Lead Pharmacy Technician and Senior Pharmacy Technician in Aseptic Services and Oncology, providing guidance and training to junior staff members.
- Undertake special dispensing and preparation involving the use of aseptic techniques within a controlled environment, adhering to GMP/GDP guidelines.
- Develop and implement effective stock control and management systems, ensuring optimal use of resources and minimizing stockouts.
- Collaborate with pharmacy and hospital staff to ensure seamless communication and coordination of services.
- NVQ level 2 certificate in Pharmacy Services or equivalent qualification.
- Supervisory experience, with a proven track record of leading and managing teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders.
- Advanced keyboard skills and proficiency in computer systems.
- Flexibility in working hours, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
