Lead Installation Engineer

Wood is seeking a highly skilled Lead Installation Engineer to join our Technical Consulting Division, focusing on subsea projects. This role will be based in our Staines office, with hybrid working arrangements available.

About the Role

The Lead Installation Engineer will be responsible for installation methodology and analysis for subsea pipelines and other subsea facilities. This will involve working on projects across the globe for oil and gas, hydrogen, and carbon capture services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop pipeline and subsea facilities installation analysis and procedures
  • Collaborate with clients and project management to deliver projects on time and within budget
  • Provide technical expertise in installation engineering, including risk assessment and management
  • Familiarity with marine operations, vessel motions, offshore lifting operations, and marine warranty/certifying authority requirements
  • Experience with specialist software, including ORCAFLEX, FLEXCOM, ABAQUS, and ANSYS
