Lead Installation Engineer

Wood is seeking a highly skilled Lead Installation Engineer to join our Technical Consulting Division, focusing on subsea projects. This role will be based in our Staines office, with hybrid working available. We are open to applications throughout the UK.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement installation methodologies and analysis for subsea pipelines and facilities.
  • Collaborate with project management and clients to ensure effective communication and delivery of projects.
  • Utilize industry-standard software, such as OrcaFlex, to model and analyze installation processes.
  • Conduct risk assessments and manage offshore construction operations.
  • Develop and maintain procedures for pipeline and subsea facilities installation analysis.
Requirements
  • Engineering degree qualification.
  • Previous experience in in-place and static/dynamic installation engineering of subsea pipelines and facilities.
  • Experience in offshore and subsea construction operations, including risk assessment and management.
  • Familiarity with marine operations, vessel motions, offshore lifting operations, and marine warranty/certifying authority requirements.
  • Proven track record in FEED, detailed design, and construction engineering.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
