Key Responsibilities:
- Server Support: Provide advanced technical support for Windows servers, including troubleshooting, maintenance, and upgrades.
- Disaster Recovery: Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans for server and storage infrastructure, ensuring business continuity and minimizing downtime.
- Automation and Scripting: Automate tasks using scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell) to improve efficiency and reduce manual errors.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of all server and storage systems, including security controls, applications, and dependencies.
- Digital Projects: Provide technical support and project management for digital projects, including designing, implementing, and testing new server and storage infrastructure.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience in managing Windows servers and working knowledge of Linux server environments.
- Strong experience in disaster recovery planning and backup management.
- Proven ability to automate tasks using scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell).
- Familiarity with ITIL frameworks and best practices.
- Participation in an out-of-hours support rota, providing 24x7 infrastructure and applications support.
